We get input from a variety of sources. We've worked closely with both Ford and General Motors, and Performance Friction pads are now standard equipment on many of the vehicles sold at the local dealer. Our pads work better, but they also wear better. Warranty claims have fallen dramatically in these OEM applications. Fleet sales have seen the same benefits.

We give these companies better braking performance and save them money with better wear characteristics--and we learn a great deal about heavy-duty use in the process. And we extend the life of their discs. Cost per mile plummets. Performance Friction makes the most highly developed, extensively tested, and best performing brake pads you can buy. Our design teams use 3D modeling software to fabricate and run test simulations for our new designs, with particular attention given
to vibration characteristics for noise control on street versions of our pads. We developed our own brake dynos to measure deceleration rates, monitor temperatures, and determine pedal force. No one else in the industry has brake dynos like ours. We can simulate a trip to the market or a 250-mph run at LeMans 24 hours a day. We have another secret weapon in our arsenal -- Ionic FusionTM
The Carbon Metallic® braking material is attached to the backing plate through a process that actually fuses them without the standard rivets or an organic bonding process. The shear strength is astronomical, ensuring increased safety and better performance -- light-years ahead of any riveted pad, and plenty better than anything on the world pad market.
